Thuraya Coverage Area Map

Before March 2008 Thuraya users could access two GEO satellites. A third one, called Thuraya-3, was placed on geosynchronical transfer orbit on January 15th, 2008. It has become operational as of the beginning of April 2008.

Thuraya now covers:

  • Europe,
  • North and Central Africa,
  • large parts of Asia
  • the Australia and part of the Pacific
