The Thuraya FDU-2500 is a docking unit (also called an ‘indoor enabler) for Ascom 21, Hughes 7100 and Hughes 7101 satellite phones. The Fixed Docking Unit (FDU) allows for their indoor usage.
The FDU-2500 docking unit allows for:
- Ascom 21, Hughes 7100 and Hughes 7101 indoor usage
- recharging of phones while docked
- receiving/sending fax messages through an analog group 3 fax machine or PC fax (speed of 9.6 Kb/s)
- receiving/sending data calls
- receiving/sending SMS messages
Voice calls can be transmitted through handset, speaker phone or regular extension phone.
