Kyocera SS-66K

 

The Kyocera 66-SK was the first Iridium satellite phone available, introduced in 1999. It has been discontinued now and replaced by the Iridium 9505a and recently the Iridium 9555.

 

The Kyocera SS-66K Single Mode Iridium Handset was constructed as a weather resistant phone. It includes: an integral antenna, graphical LCD display, answering machine and conversation recording features. Standard battery talk time is 150 minutes, with 16 hours of standby time. The phone supports a RS-232 data connection enabling data and fax transmission.
